Review: Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream

Hey lovelies!
Sorry there was a bit of a delay, but I got a new camcorder for Christmas and I was trying to edit a video that I made. Before I go into the review, I have to say that I received this product for free from BzzAgent; however, these are my honest opinions. I would hate to find out that a product is hyped after I purchased it.

This product is Neutrogena's Norwegian Formula Hand Cream(Fragrance Free). This hand cream can be used on dryness everywhere, especially lips, elbows, knees and hands.  The claim is that "just a dab heals dry skin" and "it provides highly effective relief for even the most uncomfortable dry, cracked hands"..

Before I used this cream, my hands were peeling, nails were also peeling and brittle, and I had a couple of hang nails. Within a single use, I noticed that my hands stopped peeling and looked refreshed. I used it the next day without any additional signs of improvement. On the third day, I did notice that my hands were alot softer, smoother, no sign of peeling and even my nails were longer(my nails usually peeled before they grew longer than my finger tips). As I continued applying the moisturizer once a day for 2 weeks, I saw fewer hangnails, no peeling, baby smooth and soft skin.

The hand cream even worked on my split lip because after I applied it evey night, my lips felt smoother and moisturized. I did not like using it on my lips in the day time because the cream felt too heavy and thick.

After seeing all of these amazing results I think that this product definitely lives up to its claims. For $2 a tube, it is definitely going to be my goto moisturizer.

Have you tried this? What is your favorite moisturizer?

Review: Lorac Haute Couture, St. Tropez Eyeshadow Quad

You know how when you wake up in the morning and you just don't have much time to get ready; furthermore, apply makeup? The Lorac Haute Couture St. Tropez palette is amazing to use for just those kind of days. Let me tell you, I fell in love with packaging! The top is a black lace pattern and encasing the shadows is a black, sleek plastic case.  In this quad there's a matte sandy white color, a yellow gold color, a medium brown color, and a dark brown color. There was also a brush that I didn't like, so I tossed it..

Below are pictures of my daytime look and my night time look with using solely the eyeshadows in the palette.

Daytime: Start with a primer. Then using the yellow gold(second from left) apply all over lid. Apple the brown to the right of that, in to the crease and blend using a clean brush. Take the first left shadow and apply it where you would apply a highlight. Optional: Take the very right dark brown shadow and apply that to your tight line to give the illusion of fuller lashes.

Night: Do everything said above but make a bolder line by getting the liner brush damp and lining the eye. Also, still using the darker color, apply it to the outer "v" of the crease and blend for more dimension.

I feel like the eye shadows are such great quality that you don't have to go back-and-forth applying layers of product. Lorac's eye shadows are soft, creamy(while they're powder) and most certainly pigmented. They are very easily blendable as well as long lasting. I do my whole makeup routine at about 8 AM and when I remove it at 9 PM, the eyeshadow is still in the same spot and just slightly lighter.

Every aspect of this palette is wonderful and I hope to try many more of their products.

Do you have this palette? Tell me what you think about it.

Beauty Balm Breakdown!

Before I get into the actual post, I wanted to give a shout out to Small Budget Beauty for nominating my blog for the Liebster blog award! This award is for the up and coming bloggers who have under 300 subscribers, and if you win you will then return the favor by nominating 5 other bloggers.

Without further ado...

Today I'm talking about the hyped up Drugstore BB Creams. Now, I know you've heard of them, unless you live in a pineapple under the sea, so I'm just going to talk about my experience with using them.

To start off I just wanted to tell you that all of the pictures on the top are before product application and the bottom are the ones after product was applied.

The first of the three BB creams that I tried was the L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier(white tube). When I first saw the product, I thought that it looked like white out you would use to fix pen mistakes with. It reads on the label "adusts to skin color". As I applied the cream, it made my skin smooth because of the exfoliant. I was actually liking the way it made my skin smooth and airbrushed. It was great...until half way through the day. when I looked in the mirror during a powder break at school. I was embarrased to find an ompaloompa orange color and an oil slick were covering my entire face. Luckily, I just happened to have a makeup remover wipe in my backpack( I'm prepared for anything) . Let's just say I never wore that out in public again!

With the worse BB cream of the three out of the way, next is the Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector with SPF 15. I actually tested this one out at home first :D I loved this one so much more than the L'Oreal bb because it didn't make my skin as oily, oxidize, along with many good things it did do!  As I was applying it, I noticed that the color was a little dark for the shade light/medium, but read that it will change to your skin tone just as the others (try to) do. I used to elf stippling brush to apply it and the finished look was glowy and flawless. The perfect amount of coverage for someone with monthly break-outs( which I was currently having :P). I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't oxidize, but it left my face a little too dewy for my combination skin.  I loved that it covered the rosacea on my cheeks as well as the pimples and it even made my pimples go away faster than if I would have used foundation. This made my day! I would go further to say that its just as good as my CoverGirl Natureluxe Foundation, but not quite.

Last, but definitely not least is the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB. Cream with SPF 30. First of all I want to say that this or any amout of SPF in any foundation, cream, etc.. just will not be enough so if you are in the sun alot, don't forget to use an spf under this.  On to the review...For this bb cream, my initial reaction was that it is my perfect shade(medium). I loved how creamy this was but it also felt light. This bb cream did dry my skin, but if using moisturizer it is perfect! It too seemed to allow my pimples to clear up faster than when wearing foundation and wasn't too dewy. After application my skin was smooth and looked like it was my second skin, but doesn't conceal as much as the Garnier bb cream.

All-in-all, my favorite was a toss up between the Maybelline and Garnier bb creams. They both had different cons, but neither one was bad enough to not wear everyday.

So tell me....

What one is your favorite? Do you think that the Asian BB creams are better? Are you ready for CC Creams?

About Me and BonBons Beauty

Hey, my name is Bonnie and I would like to say "thank you!" for stopping by my blog as I know that there is a wide selection to choose from. In this post I'll first tell a little about myself and then talk about why I decided to start this blog.

I'm a college student whom is hoping for a chance to start my own web design company someday. I love to read, draw, arts and crafts, swimming, and making Youtube videos. Ok, so you're probably wondering what makes me different from everyother beauty blogger? I'm sensitive, probably a little too over emotional, I am a lefty, and use both the creative and logical parts of my brain equally. I was born with a physical disability, but that being said, I don't want you to feel bad for me. I know that I was brought to Earth to use it to inspire others. I feel as if many girls and women dwell on their physical attributes; instead of seeing beyond them into the mind, heart, and soul. Yes, I do feel self-concious at times, especially when the huge scar on my forehead sticks out like a sore thumb. I have decided to set that aside and use other attributes to detract, not conceal, the scar.

That brings me to why I have decided to blog/vlog. I just want all women to look past their physical imperfections: acne, tiny eyes, or thin hair. Everyone has those or some sort of quality they's like to change, but the question I ask is why would you want to look like a barbie when there will be an infinite number of dolls just like you? Focus on what makes you unique on the inside.

In my blog, you'll read mostly what other beauty bloggers talk about: new trends, products, specials, etc.. but I will also be talking about health, technology, college, and books I'm reading.

I am always willing to answer questions, review products that you want to buy but don't know whether its worth buying, or just talk.

Have a fantabulous week, and discover what makes you unique!
